Larry has been a steadfast staff member at Pemi for over 50 years. A geologist with a special interest in minerals, glacial features, and caves, Larry has been chair of the Geological Society of America’s Geology and Society Division, and has served on the American Camping Association’s Children and Nature Committee. He headed the Environmental Sciences Undergraduate program during his tenure there as a Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of New Haven. On the “side” he loves to tell Maine stories as his alter ego “Orrin Tuckah” and play the flute. He has a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the University of Rochester.
