Camp Pemigewassett is proud to embrace diversity and equal opportunity. Given that we strive to support our campers in becoming responsible and engaged citizens, one of our annual goals is to hire a talented and caring staff that is representative not only of the campers we serve in any particular summer, but also of the wider world. We believe that our camp season is only as successful as the collective contribution put forth by individual members. It follows that the more inclusive we are, the greater that that success will be.
Working at Camp Pemigewassett isn’t a vacation, but it’s a summer full of fun. It isn’t easy, but it’s deeply rewarding. Pemi employs approximately 90 people each season, ranging in age from 17 to 70 and beyond. Approximately 65 staff members work directly with our campers as counselors, coaches, and instructors, with a strong contingent of women among them. Our support staff—from those who keep the grounds groomed and safely transport us from one place to the next, to those who keep us organized, healthy, and well fed—are a central part of the Pemi community.
