Travel to Pemi — Arrival Days

Due to covid, some uncertainty still remains. Plans may change as new information emerges and we plan for what is best for camp and our families.

Campers can arrive by car, Pemi’s chartered bus, or Pemi chaperoned airport shuttles. All details are below. Most boys arrive by car and this is Pemi’s preferred option, given Covid arrival protocols.

If someone in the camper’s household tests positive for COVID-19 within 10 days before OR after his arrival at camp, please let us know right away so that we can discuss the particulars to ensure a safe and smooth entry to camp, based on individual circumstances.

Covid testing for arrival: Campers must receive a negative PCR test within 72 hours of entering camp, and will need to provide a COVID-19 attestation regarding symptoms, travel, and exposure. Parents will be asked to upload documentation of the date and results of this test to their son’s CampMinder account prior to arrival. We also plan to test all campers upon arrival to Pemi. Please review Pemi’s 2022 vaccination policy here.

Arrival by car: Pemi will follow a plan similar to last summer with testing on site before parents depart. Families with boys age 12 and older should plan to arrive in the morning, 9:00 a.m. to noon. Families with boys 11 and under should plan to arrive in the afternoon. We’ll provide you a more exact arrival window closer to Opening Day.

Pemi is a 1.5 hour drive by car from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) and 2.5 hours by car from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). For directions, please see Driving and Directions.

Arrival by NY/Stamford Chartered Bus: our traditional chartered bus from New York City and Stamford, CT with Pemi chaperones will be available again for summer of 2022. Campers will need to take a rapid test the morning of June 25 at home and will be tested again upon arrival at Pemi.

Sign up for the bus in your CampInTouch Account. Scroll down and click on Forms and Documents, then click on Additional Options. The cost of the bus is $200 per camper each way and is limited to 25 campers.

Arrival by Pemi chaperoned airport shuttles: For campers who live farther away, especially our international boys, Pemi will offer chaperoned shuttles from two airports. Shuttle rates are posted below, and you may select those items on the Additional Options form in your online account.

  • International campers should fly to Boston’s Logan Airport (BOS), arriving between 12 – 4 PM.
  • Domestic campers (if absolutely necessary to fly as an unaccompanied minor) should fly to Manchester, NH (MHT) arriving between 11 AM – 3 PM

We ask for safety precautions during travel, including mask-wearing, social distancing, and strict adherence to other safety measures, such as hand-washing, and limited exposure to others beyond your own family during travel.
