A weekend designed for adult women* to RELAX, CONNECT, and ENGAGE in Pemi’s sublime, natural setting.
Check-in Friday, September 13th from 1:30 – 4 PM (Trailblazer Happy Hour at 4:45 PM followed by dinner and keynote event) Departure: Sunday, September 15th by 3:30 PM (Brunch with closing remarks at 10:30 AM)

Leave your daily responsibilities behind and enjoy the simple beauty of Pemi. Crave some quiet time? Sip your coffee on the Mess Hall porch as the morning mist rises over the fields, read your book on the beach, or take a walk along the lake. If you recharge your batteries through interacting with others, exercising, or pondering big topics, our Women’s Weekend schedule offers opportunities for all. Return home feeling energized and inspired.
CONNECT
Whether you come solo, with a family member or friend, or with a group of friends, you’ll find it easy to connect with others. Based on your choice of accommodation, you might be sharing a cabin with 3-5 women. When you choose among our guided programming options with favorites such as hiking, nature activities, qigong, art, journaling, and more—you’ll connect with those who share your interests or your desire to try something new. Lifelong friendships can begin at any age.

Friday night keynote event with our featured guest speaker, Morra Aarons-Mele.

Optional guided group activities, such as hikes for a range of abilities, nature exploration, qigong, art projects, other small and large group sessions.
Use of Pemi’s courts, fields, and facilities.
Saturday night cookout and campfire on the beach at sunset (weather permitting!)
Two nights’ accommodation, with your choice of a traditional, rustic cabin or options that offer a bit more conventional comfort, though these are limited. See descriptions, below. Cabins will be shared by 4-6 women unless a larger group would like to stay in one cabin together. Please bring your own pillow and single bedding or sleeping bag.
The registration fee for the weekend is based on your choice of accommodation.
If an accommodation category is fully booked, it will show as “sold out” on the registration form.
(If you are coming with a friend or more, we encourage each individual to register. You might want to agree on an accommodation category before registering as the prices are different. Please note that “OTHER OPTIONS” are beds in a variety of buildings so a group might not be able to be all together.)
‘ALL BUT OVERNIGHT’ – $300
For women who live locally or opt to stay elsewhere. Join us for all meals and programming, Friday – Sunday.
CABINS ($400 – $475 per person)
Pemi’s traditional cabins are rustic, without screens in the windows and most are without indoor plumbing. Communal facilities with sinks, private toilet stalls and showers are located a short walk away. If you want more convenience, you can choose a cabin with an adjacent, designated portable toilet. Two cabins include a room with toilet and sink. Four to six women will share a cabin (using bottom bunks/twin beds only). Groups of 4 or more can request their own cabin, up to 10 women if some want to take a top bunk! Please sleeping bag and pillow.
Registration categories:
Cabin with communal facilities
Cabin with dedicated portable toilet
Cabin with bathroom (toilet and sink; showers located nearby)
OTHER OPTIONS ($550 – $650 per person)
For those seeking more conventional comfort (but still very much “camp!”), a limited number of beds are available in houses used for summer staff or in the Health Center. If sharing a full bathroom, women could be in a bedroom solo or in a shared room, with 2-4 women sharing the full bathroom. Two rooms are private with private bathrooms. Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow unless indicated on the registration form.
Any woman age 21 and older seeking a safe, fun, and engaging weekend at camp in the company of other women. Whether you are coming solo or with a friend, or are connected to Pemi as a partner, mother, sister, daughter, etc. or someone brand new to Camp Pemigewassett – join us!
What will the food be like?
Our chefs are looking forward to this weekend! Expect three hearty, healthy, well-rounded meals a day, with full breakfasts, fresh lunches, and delicious dinners made from scratch. Fruit and snacks will be available throughout the day. If Mother Nature cooperates, we’ll share appetizers and happy hours on the beach and perhaps a beach cookout for dinner on Saturday night. Other meals will be served in our spacious Mall Hall overlooking the Pemi fields.
What if I have a food allergy/sensitivity?
Tell us about allergies / food sensitivities on the Women’s Weekend Form, which you’ll complete during registration, and be in touch with Dottie at [email protected] regarding your needs. Our chefs, who handle a variety of special requirements during the summer when we serve a community of 250, will plan ahead using the information you provide. Please understand that Women’s Weekend menus are prepared with the entire group in mind, and our chefs are not short-order cooks.
What about bedding and towels?
Bring your preferred bedding for a single bed—a sleeping bag and pillow* is the easiest. Keep in mind that cabins aren’t insulated and the nighttime temperature in mid-September can drop into the 40s (check the forecast for Wentworth when you’re packing). A few upgraded accommodations provide linens as indicated on the registration link.
If you are traveling by plane or other public transportation and are interested in renting linens, Pemi has a limited supply of professionally cleaned sheets and blankets used for our international summer staff. Please contact Dottie at [email protected].
Bring a towel (or two) for showering and the beach.
*Heads up – a pillow is the most forgotten item by campers!
Is there a packing list for Women's Weekend?
There’s always a packing list when you head off to camp! Adjust it according to your own needs and comfort.
Will there be WiFi?
While we encourage everyone to “unplug” at camp, we know that the outside world can be demanding of our attention. We have WiFi in several communal locations at camp for you to check-in as needed, and plenty of space to spread out if work or a project calls. We hope Women’s Weekend will provide a break from virtual lives so we can be with one another in real time.
What will the schedule look like?
Here’s the draft schedule for the weekend, subject to change of course but you’ll get a solid idea of all that will be going on. Activities are guided by a wonderful group of leaders, including Pemi staff members, professionals, and “passionistas.”
Check-in starts at 1:30 PM on Friday, with an ideal check-in time before 4 PM. There will be group tours of Pemi offered between the start of check-in and the first all-group event when the Rat’s Nest Beach Bar opens at 4:45 PM for our Trailblazer Toast and Happy Hour, followed by dinner and keynote event with speaker.
I'm coming with a friend; if we register separately can we be in the same cabin?
Yes, you can certainly be in the same cabin. When you complete the required Women’s Weekend Form during registration, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us about who you’re coming with, as well as any accommodation needs (we’ll also do our best to honor wants such as specific cabin requests etc but can’t promise).
NOTE: The ideal is for each attendee to register separately in order for each person to sign the waiver and complete the Women’s Weekend Form. If needed, one person can register for others in addition to herself.
What is your cancellation policy?
As with our regular camper sessions, a substantial portion of Pemi’s expenses for Women’s Weekend will be incurred prior to participants’ arrival. The following policies assure that Pemi is here to serve our campers for many summers to come.
Bookings canceled before August 1 will receive a full refund minus a 2.9% registration platform fee (charged to Pemi on every registration)
Bookings canceled August 1 through August 31 will receive a 50% refund
Bookings canceled September 1 or after will not receive a refund
In the event that Women’s Weekend is canceled or closed while in session by mandate of local, state, or federal authorities, you may request a prorated refund for each of the days you were not able to attend. E.g., closure prior to your arrival = 100% refund; closure after 2:30 PM Saturday = 50% refund.
Consider a simple travel insurance policy for last minute trip cancellation/interruption should something unexpected occur.
How can I sign up and what does the registration process look like?
When you access our registration page via the link on this page, you’ll provide your contact information and select your accommodation which will determine your cost for the weekend. The rest is just as easy:
Complete and sign online the included Women’s Weekend form
Read and sign online the included industry-standard waiver
Pay in full via credit card (with 3% service fee added) or direct debit card (no fee).
All of the above must be completed before the registration can be submitted and your reservation confirmed.
NOTE: If coming with others, each attendee should register separately in order for each person to sign the waiver and complete the Women’s Weekend Form. If needed, one person can register for others in addition to herself. If you’re registering for someone in addition to yourself, please provide their email address so we might send the waiver/form to them.
As always, if you have questions before, during, or after registration, email Dottie at [email protected].
Can I provide for someone who might not be able to afford the weekend?
First of all, thank you for your generosity. Please email Dottie at [email protected] to discuss this.
