Daily Schedule

With the help of your counselor, you’ll create your own weekly schedule. Most of the daily structure comes from program activities while a couple hours every afternoon and several evenings a week offer free time. You can fill your free time with lots of activities, like playing ping-pong with friends, having team practices and games against other camps, visiting the art room, Nature Lodge, or woodshop. Join in group activities, or enjoy some solo time with a favorite book.

While each day will have its own special moments, a typical day includes the following routine, with a real bugler to signal our transitions from one place to the next:

7:30  Reveille: rise and shine. Enjoy a Polar Bear dip in the lake!
8:00  Breakfast and announcements
8:45  Cleanup for inspection
9:10  Cabin inspection. Earn points for a weekly prize!

9:20    Morning instructional activities begin (“1st, 2nd, and 3rd hour”) and numerous hiking trips depart
12:10  Activities end. Time to check your mailbox!
12:30  Lunch and announcements
1:30    Rest hour: reading, writing, relaxing in the cabins

2:30   “4th” hour instructional activity begins; intercamp athletic contests begin
3:30    Instruction ends. Optional activities and free time begin
5:00    Free swim
6:00    Dinner and announcements

7:00    Free time and special events
8:45   Tattoo: prepare for bed
9:00   Taps: lights out (counselors read to their cabin)

Three evenings a week, the entire camp family gathers for Saturday night campfire, Sunday meeting, and Monday’s Bean Soup—Pemi traditions that date back over 100 years!
