CONNECT

Group of women on a mountain at Pemi's Women's Weekend

Whether you come solo, with a family member or friend, or with a group of friends, you’ll find it easy to connect with others. Based on your choice of accommodation, you might be sharing a cabin with 3-5 women. When you choose among our guided programming options you’ll connect with those who share your interests or your desire to try something new. Lifelong friendships can begin at any age.

ENGAGE

Betsy Wills, co-author of Your Hidden GeniusOur 2025 keynote speaker, Betsy Wills, has spent her career helping people recognize and maximize their innate abilities through her study of aptitudes—how we’re wired to think, create, and solve problems. Awareness of one’s aptitudes is relevant at any age, whether choosing a first career path, re-thinking in mid-life, or seeking fulfillment in retirement. Betsy brings her wealth of experience—and more—to Women’s Weekend 2025.

In 2010, Betsy co-founded YouScience, a national aptitude assessment platform used by individuals, educators, and industry leaders that has helped over 3 million people discover their natural aptitudes to better inform their choices in careers, education, and avocations.

Your Hidden Genius, by Betsy WillsHer recent book, Your Hidden Genius: The Science-Backed Strategy for Unlocking and Harnessing Your Unique Talents (2025), introduces this powerful tool to a greater adult audience seeking more fulfilling careers and lives.

Betsy’s professional journey includes roles in finance and marketing at Courage Capital Management and Diversified Trust. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the TEDx Nashville Board, and the Nashville Convention Center Authority. A Vanderbilt graduate with a master’s in Leadership and Organization, Betsy is also an avid art collector and the creator of ArtStormer.com, a blog highlighting emerging artists.

Betsy is a proud Pemi mom! Her son Ridley spent many summers as a camper and counselor.

HAVE YOU DISCOVERED YOUR HIDDEN GENIUS??

Every woman who registers for Pemi’s 2025 Women’s Weekend will receive a unique code to take the YouScience online aptitude assessment for free if she so chooses. Receive a full personalized report. Betsy will be available to chat with you about your results.

To learn more about aptitudes, see Betsy’s Tedx talk.

For Fri/Sat nights – Pemi’s traditional cabins are rustic, without screens in the windows and most are without indoor plumbing. Important Info and FAQs

Who is welcome to attend Women's Weekend?

Any woman age 21 and older seeking a safe, fun, and engaging weekend at camp in the company of other women. Whether you are coming solo or with a friend, or are connected to Pemi as a partner, mother, sister, daughter, etc. or someone brand new to Camp Pemigewassett – join us!

What will the food be like?

Expect three hearty, healthy, well-rounded meals a day, with full breakfasts, fresh lunches, and delicious dinners made from scratch. Fruit and snacks will be available throughout the day. If Mother Nature cooperates, we’ll share appetizers and happy hours on the beach and perhaps a beach cookout for dinner on Saturday night. Other meals will be served in our spacious Mall Hall overlooking the Pemi fields.

What if I have a food allergy/sensitivity?

Tell us about allergies / food sensitivities on the registration form and be in touch with Dottie at [email protected] regarding your needs. Our chefs, who handle a variety of special requirements during the summer when we serve a community of 250, will plan ahead using the information you provide. Please understand that Women’s Weekend menus are prepared with the entire group in mind, and our chefs are not short-order cooks.

What about bedding and towels?

Bring a sleeping bag and pillow.* Keep in mind that cabins aren’t insulated and the nighttime temperature in mid-September can drop into the 40s (check the forecast for Wentworth when you’re packing). A few upgraded accommodations provide linens as indicated on the registration link.

If you are traveling by plane or other public transportation and are interested in renting linens, Pemi has a limited supply of professionally cleaned sheets and blankets used for our international summer staff. Please contact Dottie at [email protected].

Bring a towel (or two) for showering and the beach.

*Heads up – a pillow is the most forgotten item by campers!

Is there a packing list for Women's Weekend?

There’s always a packing list when you head off to camp! Adjust it according to your own needs and comfort.

Will there be WiFi?

While we encourage everyone to “unplug” at camp, we know that the outside world can be demanding of our attention. We have WiFi in several communal locations at camp for you to check-in as needed, and plenty of space to spread out if work or a project calls. We hope Women’s Weekend will provide a break from virtual lives so we can be with one another in real time.

What will the schedule look like?

Here’s the schedule from the 2024 weekend for an idea of all that goes on. Activities are guided by a wonderful group of leaders, including Pemi staff members, professionals, and “passionistas.” 2025 will have some fun, new additions!

As many attendees will not be familiar with Pemi grounds and facilities, group tours will be offered.

I'm coming with a friend; if we register separately can we be in the same cabin?

Yes, you can certainly be in the same cabin. When you complete the registration form, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us about who you’re coming with, as well as any accommodation needs (we’ll also do our best to honor wants such as specific cabin requests etc but can’t promise).

NOTE: We ask that each attendee register separately in order to sign the waiver and provide accurate information to help us plan.

What is your cancellation policy?

As with our regular camper sessions, a substantial portion of Pemi’s expenses for Women’s Weekend will be incurred prior to participants’ arrival. The following policies assure that Pemi can offer Women’s Weeekends for many summers to come.

  • Bookings canceled before July 1 will receive a full refund minus the registration platform fee and credit card fee (absorbed by Pemi on every registration).
  • Bookings canceled July 1 through August 10 will receive a 50% refund minus the registration platform fee and credit card fee (absorbed by Pemi on every registration).
  • Bookings canceled August 11 or after will not receive a refund.
  • In the event that Women’s Weekend is canceled or closed while in session by mandate of local, state, or federal authorities, you may request a prorated refund for each of the days you were not able to attend. E.g., closure prior to your arrival = 100% refund; closure after 2:30 PM Saturday = 50% refund.
  • Consider a simple travel insurance policy for last minute trip cancellation/interruption should something unexpected occur.

How can I sign up and what does the registration process look like?

When you access our registration page via the link on this page, you’ll be guided through the process.

  • Provide your contact information
  • Choose your accommodation (or other registration option)
  • Read and sign online the Cancellation terms and the included industry-standard waiver
  • Pay in full via credit card or opt to pay in two installments.

All of the above must be completed before the registration can be submitted and your reservation confirmed.

NOTE: If coming with others, each attendee should register separately.

As always, if you have questions before, during, or after registration, email Dottie at [email protected].

Can I offset expenses or provide for a woman who might not be able to attend otherwise?

Thank you for your generosity. Please email Dottie at [email protected] to discuss this.
