RELAX

Sip your coffee on the Mess Hall porch, read your book on the beach, or take a walk along the lake. If you recharge your batteries through interacting with others, exercising, or pondering big topics, our Women’s Weekend schedule offers opportunities for all. Return home feeling energized and inspired.

Connect

Whether you come solo, with a family member or friend, or with a group of friends, you’ll find it easy to connect with others. Based on your choice of accommodation, you might be sharing a cabin with three to five women. When you choose among our programming options you’ll connect with those who share your interests or your desire to try something new. Lifelong friendships can begin at any age!

ENGAGE

Our 2026 Keynote speaker, Katie Schuler, is an award-winning conservation photographer and filmmaker, and the founder of Coral & Oak Studios. Her work is dedicated to telling stories that educate and inspire audiences to engage more deeply with the natural world around them.

She is the director of PBS Nature’s groundbreaking series In Her Nature. Created by an all-female, award-winning production team, the series shines a spotlight on the fearless women working to protect wildlife across the globe. Through breathtaking cinematography and rare wildlife behavior, In Her Nature captures powerful conservation efforts and hopeful solutions in some of the world’s most perilous habitats.

Katie is a National Geographic Explorer, a graduate of the Corcoran College of Art and Design, a Henry Luce Fellow, and a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers’ Emerging League.

She is also a proud Pemi veteran, having spent five summers (2005-2009) as an instructor in our Nature and Art programs, where she inspired campers and fellow staff with her creativity and deep love for Pemi’s beautiful surroundings.

Registration options…

For Fri/Sat nights – For women who live locally or opt to stay elsewhere. Join us for all meals and programming.

For Fri/Sat nights – Pemi’s traditional cabins are rustic, without screens in the windows and most are without indoor plumbing. Communal facilities with toilets, sinks, and showers are nearby, as are portapots. Four to six women will share a cabin (using bottom bunks/twin beds only). Groups of 4 or more can request their own cabin, up to 10 women if some want to take a top bunk! Please bring sleeping bag and pillow.

For Fri/Sat nights – for those seeking more conventional comfort (but still very much “camp!”), a limited number of beds are available in houses used for summer staff or in the Health Center. If sharing a full bathroom, women could be in a bedroom solo or in a shared room, with 2-4 women sharing the full bathroom. Two rooms are private with private bathrooms. Please bring sleeping bag and pillow unless indicated on the registration form.

Treat yourself to some bonus Pemi time! Move into your chosen accommodation a day ahead or, if staying locally, join in early! Includes Thursday activities, happy hour and dinner, and Friday breakfast, morning activities, and lunch.

Any woman age 21 and older seeking a safe, fun, and engaging weekend at camp in the company of other women. Whether you are coming solo or with a friend, or are connected to Pemi as a partner, mother, sister, daughter, etc. or someone brand new to Camp Pemigewassett – join us!

Expect three hearty, healthy, well-rounded meals a day, with full breakfasts, fresh lunches, and delicious dinners made from scratch. Fruit and snacks will be available throughout the day. If Mother Nature cooperates, we’ll share appetizers and happy hours on the beach and perhaps an evening cookout on the beach. Other meals will be served in our spacious Mall Hall overlooking the Pemi fields.

Tell us about allergies / food sensitivities on the registration form and be in touch with Dottie at [email protected] regarding your needs. Our chefs, who handle a variety of special requirements during the summer when we serve a community of 250, will plan ahead using the information you provide. Please understand that Women’s Weekend menus are prepared with the entire group in mind, and our chefs are not short-order cooks.

Bring a sleeping bag and pillow.* Keep in mind that cabins aren’t insulated and the nighttime temperature in mid-September can drop into the 40s (check the forecast for Wentworth when you’re packing). A few upgraded accommodations provide linens as indicated on the registration link.

If you are traveling by plane or other public transportation and are interested in renting linens, Pemi has a limited supply of professionally cleaned sheets and blankets used for our international summer staff. Please contact Dottie at [email protected].

Bring a towel (or two) for showering and the beach.

*Heads up – a pillow is the most forgotten item by campers!

There’s always a packing list when you head off to camp! Adjust it according to your own needs and comfort.

While we encourage everyone to “unplug” at camp, we know that the outside world can be demanding of our attention. We have WiFi in several communal locations at camp for you to check-in as needed, and plenty of space to spread out if work or a project calls. We hope Women’s Weekend will provide a break from virtual lives so we can be with one another in real time.

A schedule will be available soon. Activities are guided by a wonderful group of leaders, including Pemi staff members, professionals, and “passionistas.” As many attendees will not be familiar with Pemi grounds and facilities, group tours will be offered.

Absolutely! There’s a place on the registration form to let us know if you’re coming solo or with others.

As with our regular camper sessions, a substantial portion of Pemi’s expenses for Women’s Weekend will be incurred prior to participants’ arrival. The following policies assure that Pemi can offer Women’s Weekends for many summers to come.

  • Bookings canceled on or before June 30 will receive a full refund minus the registration platform fee and credit card fee (absorbed by Pemi on every registration).
  • Bookings canceled July 1 through August 10 will receive a 50% refund minus the registration platform fee and credit card fee (absorbed by Pemi on every registration).
  • Bookings canceled August 11 or after will not receive a refund.
In the event that Women’s Weekend is canceled or closed while in session by mandate of local, state, or federal authorities, you may request a prorated refund for each of the days you were not able to attend. E.g., closure prior to your arrival = 100% refund; closure after 2:30 PM Saturday = 50% refund.
  • Consider a simple travel insurance policy for last minute trip cancellation/interruption should something unexpected occur.
When you access our registration page via the link on this page, you’ll be guided through the process.
  • Provide your contact information
  • Choose your accommodation (or other registration option)
  • Read and sign online the Cancellation terms and the included industry-standard waiver
  • Pay in full via credit card or opt to pay in two installments (this option ends June 15).
All of the above must be completed before the registration can be submitted and your reservation confirmed. NOTE: If coming with others, each attendee should register separately. As always, if you have questions before, during, or after registration, email Dottie at [email protected].
Thank you for your generosity. Please email Dottie at [email protected] to discuss this.
