Arrival Day Travel
We will keep you informed through timely blast emails, but always feel free to be in touch with questions.
Arrival by car
Returning camper families should plan to arrive at Pemi between 10:30 AM and 12 noon to reunite with old friends, have lunch, and prepare to greet their new cabinmates.
New camper families should plan to arrive at Pemi between 2:30 PM and 3:15 PM, with an optional meeting for parents of new campers scheduled for 3:30 PM.
Families with both returning and new campers may choose from above, and don’t hesitate to be in touch if we can help you decide which time frame to choose!
Parents…when you arrive at the cabin, take as much time as you need to meet your son’s counselor and speak with him. We ask, however, that you depart quickly once your son’s baggage has been delivered to the cabin, and we request specifically that you do not help him unpack and make his bed. His counselor is eager and prepared to do this. Unpacking and making his bed is your son’s first opportunity to bond with his counselor and cabin mates, and it will greatly enhance his initial adjustment to let this occur. Difficult though it may be, a short, unemotional farewell from the cabin is recommended. Avoid the last walk back to the car! Once you have deposited your son at his cabin, you are invited for a reception (or meeting) in the Lodge, where the directors and senior staff very much look forward to saying hello and chatting. Refreshments will be served. Tissues will be provided.

Departure Day Travel
We will keep you informed through timely blast emails, but always feel free to be in touch with questions. We’d like to remind you that tipping of counselors is not done at Pemigewassett (including gift cards). The best way to express your appreciation for a counselor’s care and hard work is a friendly conversation and a warm handshake, or consider a donation to the scholarship fund in his honor.
Departure by car:
First Session Only: You may pick up your son between 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
Second and Full Session: You may pick up your son between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Please do not arrive earlier than 9 AM to avoid the congestion of the chartered bus that loads in front of the Lodge.

Camp Pemigewassett staff will accompany your son to one of two airports, help unload, check in, get to the gate. Chaperones remain at the airport until the plane has left the ground.
