Some of our most popular overnights feature stays at the Appalachian Mountain Club’s famed huts, situated high on the ridges across the entire White Mountain Range. Boys enjoy hiking with the light packs that AMC-provided bedding allows for, and they routinely rave about the haute cuisine turned out at these high-route hostels. It’s hard to forget watching the sunset from a cool and airy perch 4000 feet up – and then retreating to a warm dining room for a hot chocolate and game of Hearts before bed. All the Upper cabins and their counselors are scheduled for AMC overnights in the Franconia Range, while Seniors have the option to visit one of two huts in the Presidentials. Again, it is helpful to be in good shape for some of these longer trips, but no prior hiking experience is necessary.
